The Atascadero Police Foundation mobilizes community support to raise funds and accepts grant applications from the Atascadero Police Department.
These grants align with the APF’s values of recognizing excellence,
supporting crucial training, equipment, and programs that empower our local public safety teams to tackle current challenges and foster innovation for the future.
Grant Application Process:
All grant applications submitted to the Atascadero Police Foundation (APF) will undergo a two-step review process:
STEP 1: Advisory Committee Review:
Each application will first be reviewed by the APF Advisory Committee, which includes representatives from the Atascadero Police Association, the Office of the Atascadero City Manager, and the Atascadero Police Chief. The APF Advisory committee will assess the application based on the foundation’s priorities, guidelines, and available funding.
STEP 2: Board of Directors Review:
After the Advisory Committee review, a recommendation will be made to the APF Board of Directors. The Board meets on the second Monday of each month to review and approve all grant recommendations.

Please ensure that your application is submitted by the 1st of the month to allow time for the Advisory Committee’s review prior to the Board meeting. Applications submitted after the 1st will be considered in the following month’s review cycle.
We look forward to reviewing your application!
