The holiday season is a time of giving, and here at the Atascadero Police Foundation, we’re excited to announce our annual Atascadero Holiday Heroes Toy Drive — a heartwarming initiative designed to spread holiday cheer to children in need in our community. This year, we are once again teaming up with the Atascadero Unified School District to ensure that local kids who may be facing hardships still get the joy of a holiday gift.
How It Works
The Atascadero Holiday Heroes Toy Drive is all about community support. We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children under the age of 10, and we need your help to make this holiday season brighter for local families. These toys will be distributed directly to children in need through our partnership with the Atascadero Elementary Schools, which help identify families who could benefit most from this holiday cheer.
How You Can Help
It’s easy to get involved! Here are a few ways you can donate:
Drop off a Toy – You can drop off new toys at the Atascadero Police Department anytime until December 20th. Our officers and foundation members are excited to see the community come together to make a difference.
Donate Online – If you’re unable to shop for a toy, don’t worry! You can donate online, and the Atascadero Police Foundation will use the funds to purchase additional toys on your behalf. Every contribution, big or small, helps brighten a child’s holiday.
We’ll be collecting donations until December 20th, and then during the week of Christmas, Atascadero Police Officers and Foundation members will load up patrol cars with the toys and personally deliver them to the children. There’s something special about seeing our first responders, who are heroes every day, also act as Santa’s helpers, bringing gifts directly to the kids who need them most.
