Celebrating the 2026 Class of Luca Benedetti Memorial Scholars

The Atascadero Police Foundation is proud to announce the three recipients of the 2026 Luca Benedetti Memorial Scholarship; exceptional young people whose dedication to academics, community, and their futures embody the Luca spirit.

Scarlette Fonseca | Atascadero High School

Scarlette Fonseca brings a rare combination of academic achievement and community leadership to everything she does. At Atascadero High School, she has earned a 3.9 GPA, collected three Academic Letters, was named a Top 30 Senior, and received the State Seal of Biliteracy.

Her community involvement is equally impressive: Scarlette has been active in Key Club, Rotary Club, Earth Club, and Tobacco Use & Prevention Education. As a four-year member of both the Cross Country and Track & Field teams, and a participant in the Latino Student Association and Link Crew, she has demonstrated that excellence and service go hand in hand.

Scarlette is headed to California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, where she will study Biology/Biochemistry in pursuit of her goal of becoming a Forensic Pathologist.

Audryana Mosqueda | Atascadero High School

Audryana Mosqueda is a standout student-athlete from Atascadero High School, where she has maintained a 3.78 GPA while pursuing dual enrollment at Cuesta College and completing the Child Development CTE Pathway. Her academic excellence has earned her Academic Letters and the Paws N’ Recognize Award.

Beyond the classroom, Audryana has given back to her community in meaningful ways from supporting the AHS Boosters and organizing Crab Feed Fundraisers, to participating in Earth Club, Interact Club, and Toys for Tots. On the field, she has competed in AHS Soccer and Softball for multiple years and has played recreation soccer for an impressive decade.

Audryana plans to attend California State University, Long Beach, where she will pursue a degree in Psychology with a goal of one day working in Forensic Psychology.

Luke Davis | Templeton High School

Luke Davis from Templeton High School represents what it means to be a well-rounded young leader. Carrying a 3.69 GPA, he has been recognized as Athlete of the Week and earned an FFA State Degree, reflecting both his athletic and agricultural achievements.

Luke’s community service record includes serving as a Youth Flag Football Coach, a Youth Sports Referee, a CSF Foundation Member, a participant in the Every 15 Minutes program, and a Golf First Tee Junior Mentor. In school, he has played THS Golf for four years, participated in THS Football, served as First Year Orientation VP, and been active in Future Farmers of America and Link Crew.

This fall, Luke will attend Boise State University, where he plans to study Public Administration, a fitting major for a young man whose career goal is a life of Public Service.

Three Heroes in the Making

The Luca Benedetti Memorial Scholarship is awarded in honor of Luca Benedetti, and these three recipients carry that legacy forward with distinction. Audryana, Scarlette, and Luke each bring unique strengths and a shared commitment to their communities, exactly the qualities this scholarship was designed to recognize.

The Atascadero Police Foundation congratulates all three scholars and wishes them every success in the chapters ahead.

To our supporters: thank you for making this scholarship possible. Your generosity allows us to continue honoring Detective Benedetti’s memory and investing in the future of public service.
